The problem around us is where is the real world? I suggest as a panacea watch Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern's movie...If we need to be reminded of the greatness of human spirit...there lies a lot

Love the explanation "the contrived and contingent constraints of the two party system have long cause conservative liberal politicians and pundits into unholy and ultimately bitter alliances with the left." It could seem to explain why Libertarian Bill Maher thinks he is liberal. And I see he acting increasing like a conservative.

What you don't understand about your opinion on Bill Maher is that you are very much becoming the minority in the country.

The only growing party is independents. Both the Democratic party and Republican party are shrinking because the primary process drives them to extremes.

Bill Maher values traditional Democratic party values (e.g. Newsom, Buttigieg, Shapiro) not the progressive values of AOC, Mamdani, Omar, or Sanders.

The Democratic and Republican parties are dying. You can call Bill what you want, but you are in the shrinking minority. That is Bill's point when he criticizes the progressive part of the Democratic party.

Thank you for confirming my point that Sanders is not a liberal thinker. And While I can agree with you in that DNC and GOP parties are not a majority representation any more; perhaps without asking, you could avoid making assumptions on who I am and which group you want to label me on?

Just as a suggestion. Hmm?

Hmmm. You seemed totally comfortable putting Bill Maher in a group he does not identify with. I just followed your lead.

Then let me point out a source. “I'm a libertarian,” he said to Rolling Stone (4/13/11)"

Long time ago. Here's what wiki says:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Time_with_Bill_Maher

On his previous TV series, Politically Incorrect, Maher used the word "libertarian" to describe his political leanings. Regarding religion, he considers himself a "rationalist", as someone "preaching the gospel of 'I don't know'".[16] Maher identifies himself as politically unaffiliated and disagrees with the Republican party on many issues, and with the Democratic Party on many of their party platform's planks.

He's part of the fastest growing "Party" - independents.

Democrats and Republicans are two cheeks of the same ass shitting on we the people.
